Growing up a girl down the block had a pet duck ...
real cute followed her everywhere and they had a little pool for it and it lived in the house.

    It wasn't mean at all

The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

I had a baby Blue Jay do that to me one day. It kept flying down onto my shoulder. I'd put it back in the tree. this went on for about 45min. I then tried to drive away in my van,but the bird flew in and got on my shoulder.I moved the van forward out of the sight of the tree hoping for a quick get away, when all of a sudden I spotted Mommy up on a nearby roof. She was squawking up a storm. It was getting near dark,so we called the wild life preserve for info on how to deal with the bird and they said to put it in a box for the night and release it the following morning.Well I thought I'd give it one more chance,so I put it in the tree,And talk about an angry mother,She swooped into the tree, smacking the baby and knocking it out of the tree, then smacking it all the way to the bushes. She evidently was teaching it to fly,but it got to dark. So I guess they spent the night in the bush. :D
