between the lines

summer concrete
blistering the soles of my feet
this old guitar in my arms
and some strange homemade
lemonade drink
shuck responsibilities
just for today
a little white lie
let me sleep in with a genuine beauty on my mind
this nothingness suits me
just fine today
if his beautiful words are written
on the face of today
then I'll just let my meager words
rest between the lines
and be left for someone tomorrow
a hidden under lining joy
the countdown clock is set
T-minus 193 minutes and counting
until I feel loves generous touch remove this cloak of deception
and enclose me in its warm embrace
oh, how I love her love
her smile
her touch
Peace, Love.
