    Maybe you should take to an appraiser...and use his Jeweler's Eye Loop Magnifier... it looks like a mini scene has definitively been etched on it..

    Some of the "images", you can actually feel...but some are "raised", so it counts out the etching. But some of the "images" are holographic within and not on the surface...
