the Patriot Center is a great music venue. Saw Furthur there back in March and it was a grrrrrrreat scene especially for the Grateful Dead crowd

I went to the box office again today to see what was available and I could only get a single in the high back, really didn't feel like spending 60 to sit up there when I have 67$ in my bank for 2 weeks :-\
When I was leaving I saw buses behind the arena so I just parked and walked around there...Matt and Kim were right there just talking drinking something. I didn't get a picture with them cause my phone died but they were super nice. They came up to me before I even said something cause they saw me just staring. I shook their hands and thanked them for this tour and for Lolla last year. I lied and said I was going tonight...didn't want to take advantage of getting tickets from them. Told Matt I'd see him at PJ20 and told Kim to play MSG with PJ next year
Awesome....of course I am now trying to find a ticket after that.
Was not sold out....empty in the back corners but the floor was into it. I was right in front of Kim maybe second or third "row"....Cornell sung 85% of Outshined right in front of me, got some killer pictures and videos. "Matt Cameron is a fucking beast" is all I was yelling. Mailman was awesome to hear. Cornell sung a lot of Outshined to a disabled girl sitting alone on the side stage which was awesome. GUN was KILLER. Slaves and Bulldozers was incredible.
Overall the crowd was decent, especially for Fairfax but the band put on a fucking SHOW.
Patriot Center security is awful! They were so unorganized I was patted down 3 times on 3 different lines before I could get in. They were screaming at a few people up front for no reason. Wouldn't let me record video but I got an awesome 2 minute video of Outshined.

I'll try to get this on youtube in the morning
we were there last night at the patriot center. we sat in the front row where the railing is before the floor, but on the side, sec 115 (Kim Thayil's side). I was surprised, I thought our seats were nosebleed! There was a guy with black hair wearing a pj shirt sitting about two rows behind me, to my left. I think I saw 3 guys wearing pj shirts
I thought they were amazing
they were really great though and they are so HOTT!!!!
but they need to do something about the sound. I read negative comments about the NJ show on ticketmaster's review and in 1 reply in this forum. (And I had earplugs in last night which is supposed to make it sound better.)
see them if you can before they retire. kim thayil is nearly my age

With all that said .... Soundgarden fucking blew me away. Holy crap they were LOUD. I heard just about everything I had wanted to hear. Highlights were Spoonman, Gun, JCP, My Wave, Loud Love and the whole encore.
Hate to sound like a fanboy but that was the best version of Black Hole Sun I ever heard. And i really really do not like that song generally but it was awesome.

I think you were right in front of me. I was wearing a bright green shirt. I think I took your spot on the floor to move up a few people.
