    No staying on the coast for me in Costa Rica - I live on it here. My tentative plan is to fly right into San Jose, get in, stay 3 or 4 days, see the sights, see the show, get out. Gotta get back in time for turkey.

    Yes, plenty of options.

    i appreciate your response and i just need to make sure...is the arena in a safe area of downtown and is it easy to find a hotel within walking distance(ie-all right downtown)

    Yes, it's in a safe area IMO. Posible to find a hotel withing walking distance?. I think so, and if not, many hotels within 5 - 15 minutes taking a taxi. Check for hotels in or near La Sabana, Paseo Colón or Escazú.

    Costa Rica is gonna be a monster show. Hey costa ricans, what are the news there that all the info are TBA? I´ve heard there are some problems with the date of the venue. Even the government has something to do with this. Is this true?

    I am thinking of staying at a resort (Florblanca) with my son in Santa Teresa the week before the show. I'd have to transfer from San Jose to Tambor and back. I plan to stay in San Jose on the 19th and 20th.

    Is that a safe area? Any help would be appreciated :D

    I hope this works out.....I emailed 10C to see if the concert will be all GA or seats - they said they had no info yet. I can't do GA with the little man....would be too much.

    Pretty safe area!. Very nice part of the town indeed.

    Anybody know by the looks of the other countries' prices how much, approximately, do you think tix will be? And I think this has been asked, but is the concensus that this show is GA and not seated? Or do we not have any clue? Have other shows there been mostly GA?

    Just doing some digging around and going by the RHCP show onsale through www.specialticket.net I'm assuming that will be the site, and they're having a "VIP" section/ticket for their show, so I'm thinking there may be seating to this show.

    I don't speak any Spanish at all...will it be hard to get around down there...not knowing the language? How will I purchase tickets if the website is in Spanish? I should have paid more attention to high school Spanish class! :lol:

    Long story short: an asshole has the venue booked for nov 20, but has failed to book PJ. Now, the promoter that booked PJ in the end, needs to get the venue, but it seems the asshole doesn´t want to let go of the venue.

    The red hot chili peppers had to change the venue. They were supposed to play there, but the same officials made the promoters change it. I`m not sure if it was already confirmed in the rhcp site, though. But they did change it.

    I hope they don`t cos I heard this is would be the best place for PJ. Ricans: is it?

    edit: don`t forget, they do print on the tickets that anything is subject to change. So don´t start booking flights. Not yet.

    the show, the place and the date are 100% sure... but promoters will go public until next week... there's a big company involved too...

    There will be VIP area (field) and from past concerts experience, the ticket price should be anywhere around $100 - $150 i believe... I just got the VIP ticket for the RHCP show, which is in the same venue and I paid $97 with fees included ($8 for http://www.specialticket.net)

    Im sure there will be a sections with seats.. maybe numbered seats that could cost $50 or so...

    I would like to be wrong about the ticket $$$ ...I paid $100 back in 2005 in Mexico DF and I was far from the stage, numbered seat and I didnt mind cause it was my first time...
