    it appears that in the last 100 years, the speed of public transit on market street has not improved. :P

    I saw that on 60 Minutes last night, fascinating stuff. Once they determined it was filmed just days before the earthquake, it put a whole new perspective on it.

    They originally thought it was filmed in September of 1905, but then further research (most specifically, determining the registration dates of the vehicles in the film and the weather conditions) put the recording date to April of 1906, just days before the quake.
