So here at the local music shop they have what looks to be homemade Ukes. They are about 25 bucks and i'm fine with them being that. I'm looking to play a Uke just learn a few chords and bust it out. Not really a serious instrument for me more of a funny thing.
Anyhoo my question is can the strings be switched around for a lefty? Or am i going to have to look for a lefty Uke?
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm just wanting to play it as more of a laugh. I'm 6'5" 225 and had thought about playing the Uke just cause i think it would be funny to see a guy my size playing. Don't really want to make it a serious inst thats why i'm looking for a el cheapo one as well.
Thanks for the advice.
Haha. 6'5" here with a tiny tiny uke. I probably look like IZ with it. Before the Eddie album came out I did my own heartbreak album on the uke. Drugs Don't Work, Twilight (Elliot Smith), Keep Me In Your Heart (Warren Zevon) and You're Missing (Bruce Springsteen) plus about 5 originals.
It's a great hobby man. You'll love it.
