Fixing warped vinyl

Ok, so I decided a while ago that I want to listen to my vinyl rather than just having it sat on a shelf, and last night I finyl got round to opening the copy of Riot Act that has sat there, sealed, since 2002.
You can imagine my dismay when I found out that the first lp is warped.
It plays ok and the sound doesn't sound warbled that I can tell, but I can't shut the lid on my turntable otherwise the warped bit rises up and scrapes against it.
Is there an easy way for me to flatten it out without ruining the sound?
