why I lie

I have the world to hide

I’m exposed
and I can’t hide
there’s never no good
in the words I write

but I can see from where I lie
the violence
even up high
I can’t explain the truth
because it’s love
and so I lie

all day
I heard God scream

at me

it’s what happens
when you dream
and do not sleep
I’ll never run

out of stories
you oughtta see
the blood above me
even you
wouldn’t run away from me
…love
whilst we bleed
