Anyone else going to see Soundgarden Sunday, July 10 at the Comcast Center in Mansfield, Ma?
I'm starting to get really excited for this one. Should be interesting comparing Matt's style for the two bands.

Saw them last night in Newark. He tore it up back there and Cornell can still wail. Enjoy it.
  • I'll be there as well tomorrow night.

I'm going by myself and i'll be on the lawn. Anyone want to meet up?

Anyone know what time they've been taking the stage? I have no interest in Coheed.

they hit the stage between 8:30 and 8:45.

I assume poster tubes will be allowed?

here's hoping we get a klausen poster!

    where are we all tailgating?

  • I"m in for some brews and tailgating.

I haven't been to the venue/parking lots before for a show. Is there a good place to meet up?

"The" parking lot is HUGE. We'll be in a Toyota pickup in the VIP lot, if anyone wants to look us up.
By the way, if you want to get out of that lot, I highly recommend buying VIP parking now before you go.

    Great show, sat 3rd row.
Bought the VIP package which included a signed poster.
Strange thing is it was a different poster by MunkOne than the poster sold at the concessions by Justin Hampton.

I liked Hampton's better..looked like a royal crest with Godzilla in it. But wasn't gonna spend $30 on it when I already had the other poster.

I was talking with the guy in charge of the VIP swag before the show and he showed me the MunkOne poster. It was a killer design, but the one he had was laminated. Were they all laminated? I would have been pretty pissed to spend 200 bucks on a seat and get a laminated poster.

No, just his display poster was laminated.
The good thing is you got to walk the poster back to the car. They had them rolled in plastic, so not too bad.
Its just a general tour poster though, not specific to the show, and while it is cool, I would have preferred the Godzilla by Hampton, just really liked that design. Also got a Soundgarden key chain and some preshow quesadillas....really my only concern was the seats, the rest of the package was icing.

did you get to hear them soundcheck as well? i went to the newark show and when i was picking up my tix from will call i heard them soundchecking pretty noose - yeah of all songs - and i thought it was part of the vip package that you got to see them soundcheck.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

    poncier!
goddamn I was also VIP 8th row dead center and gobbled down about 10 of those pathetic VIP chicken quesadilla !
must have cost the CID productions $50 for the food (those bag a nachos and stop and shop salsa ain't cheap)

would have loved to talk pj with you!
we probably walked right by eachother.

how much do you think the Mosquitos ate of the buffet after we went to the show?

(much sarcasm ) the seat was worth the package price so I was thrilled.

    hated the poster tooo
