A very fine person and excellent First Lady. She was honest and forthright and served as a role model for many women in her battles with breast cancer and addiction.

  • I really did like her.

Odd as it sounds, she's been a bit of a role model to me.

She never shied away from giving her opinions, standing up for herself and being open and honest about everything, even the things that a fine lady such as herself shouldn't be speaking about in public.

Knowing that she could stand in front of a judgmental country and talk openly about her addiction AND reach out to help others... that gave me a lot of strength. Still does.

I guess it's tacky to have a drink in her memory, isn't it?

OK, I'll put on some coral eye-shadow and play some golf.
