think it was also reported that so far it is more "poppier".
bring it on mothafucka.
...Pearl Jam, a group filled with pride, passion, and intricate musicianship. Their music is full of subtle textures, rich color, soul-searching power, imagery, and eerie dissonance.
if it were a pregnancy, then its only just been conceived.
well said that was beautiful. Like Mike said, it's in the infant stages.
Here’s a question you might need to ask
What’s self destruction and how can we last?
"I cannot stop the thought of running in the dark.
Coming up a which way sign. All good truants must decide."

I wouldn't expect anything released before next summer. My opinion only, no inside knowledge.
Look how busy they have been. Flight to Mars and Shadow, Pearl Jam mini tour, Ed dual solo tours, Brad album, Stone solo album, Green River reunion, Matt Jazz album, Jeff skateboarding...oh wait that's normal, lol.
it seems to have been pretty constant since Mike's CCFA Benefit show through now, so I would guess they haven't got together much during this time, and the last official word was the comments about 5 ideas, riffs, ruff songs.
I like that Brendon is producing though. With both him and the band growing so much since Yield, this could be even more special than normal
"Music, for me, was fucking heroin." eV (nothing Ed has said is more true for me personally than this quote)
Mike is friends with Duff McKagan, how (why) did they meet?
Mike used to be in Gun N Roses before they kicked him out for Slash. He wanted the band to be a Kiss tribute band and well, the rest of the band wanted to do their own thing, so they went their separate ways. In result, Slash joined the group and out came Appetite for Destruction, and then Mike went on and joined up with Jeff and Stone to form the early stages of PJ.
