More Info SEATTLE, WA (July 5, 2011) — Seattle-based, cause-rock band, THE PEOPLE NOW will host an all ages benefit show for MUSICARES® on SATURDAY, AUGUST 20, 2011, 7:30PM at SHOWBOX at the MARKET located at 1426 1st Ave., Seattle, WA.
The music line-up will feature the band, NINE50NINE; an incarnation of Seattle alumni, featuring; TY WILLMAN (formerly of GREEN APPLE QUICK STEP), DAVE KRUSEN (formerly of PEARL JAM), ALAN HUNT, CAMERON BROWNFIELD and guests.
Also scheduled to perform is the show’s host, THE PEOPLE NOW, a Seattle-based, cause-oriented band and organization with a depth of music and message, striving to make a difference in their community, both locally and globally. Band members include: Kyle Wimbish – vocals, Garth Hockersmith – lead guitar/vocals, Arman Birang – guitar, Joey Keller – bass, and Tim Karman – drums.

Everyone in this city knows a musician, or is somehow connected to the music community, and this is our opportunity to do what we, in Seattle, do very well: make great music and celebrate its creation in a live setting. MUSICARES® provides a safety net of critical assistance for music people in times of need. MUSICARES' services and resources cover a wide range of financial, medical and personal emergencies, and each case is treated with integrity and confidentiality. MUSICARES also focuses the resources and attention of the music industry on human service issues that directly impact the health and welfare of the music community.

The show will also feature local Seattle artists; VILLAINS OF YESTERDAY, a group of musicians from Seattle's Industrial District. Band members include: Terry Houser - vocals, Carl Klein - guitars, Shawn Zellar - drums, and Sean Gephardt - bass.
Opening the show is AMANDA HARDY, a 14 year-old singer/songwriter who hails from the South Puget Sound area. AMANDA will be joined on stage by REGARDING SILENCE, a project she is also involved in, featuring: Austin Grandon – drums, TJ Wheeler – bass, and Brandon Boucher – lead guitar.
The evening will also feature a silent auction of items donated by local and national musicians.

Advance tickets are $17.00 plus applicable service charges and will go on sale Friday, July 8 at 10am at all Ticketmaster outlets, online at www.ticketmaster.com, or charge by phone (800) 745-3000. Tickets are also available at the Showbox Market box office during business hours, 11am to 6pm. The box office is CASH ONLY, and there is a $2.00 service charge per ticket. Tickets will be sold at the door day-of-show, if still available, for $19.00.
