Hey guys.

Just listened to the boot of bonnaroo 2008 again... and just wanted to make a few comments.

First off - some people who weren't there say that they don't get what was so special about this show.. its one of those shows where you had to be there... the energy, the overall mood and size of the crowd, the amazing weather, a super tight performance by the band and a show where THEY wanted to keep going.. just keep the vibe the same...

When they played release at the end of the show.... when they finished the third encore with all along the watchtower... the amazing versions of WMA and Who You Are just made the show that much better!

The overall setlist was amazing, but once half full started the show was really grooving and everyone was feeling it.

Hard To Imagine
Corduroy
All Night
Why Go
Small Town
Down
Who You Are
Severed Hand
Half Full
Even Flow
Daughter/Blitzkreig Pop (medley)
Gone
Reign O’er Me
Evolution
RVM
WMA
Betterman/Save It For Later (medley)
Black
Life Wasted
Crazy Mary
Porch
No More
Release
Alive
All Along the Watchtower (Dylan cover)

Here is a few links ive found with some good videos. I have these videos so if someone knows how to sync the official boots to them i would be VERY appreciative!

Also included is a vid of us in the crowd - that's us going crazy with the sign! ( i know signs are annoying, but so glad i brought it cause i can see where i was on the bonnaroo DVD!)

us with sign! were jumping the top of the screen when its lit up and hes talking

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBGuK5Q51_U
watch eddie dance his ass off at the start of who you are!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVStI-ad ... B&index=37
porch rant and last half of song - the speech is very moving... before bush was out of office... and Eddie really means what he is saying.. moving!

and here is a channel with alot of bonnaroo 2008, pearl jam, metallica, etc...

Can't help you with the audio, but I was at Roo and it was AMAZING!!!
I have wonderful memories of that whole weekend, but PJ under the stars with great friends, great drink and plenty of dancing room makes it one of my top shows of all time.
Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!

I recently heard this gig and thought it was amazing.

Hard To Imagine as the opener - wow!

Throw in Who You Are and WMA, both fantastic.

1/2 Full - any show that has this song is a winner in my book.

And then Release in the 2nd encore.

Great show!Especially considering its a festival show!

Amazing show, one I'll never forget.

As I recall, the Allman Brothers were supposed to have the pre-PJ slot and Jack Johnson was supposed to headline on Sunday, but Gregg Allman had a medical issue, so the Allmans dropped out, Johnson was moved to Saturday, and Widespread Panic was called in to headline Sunday with about a month to go until showtime. Would have loved to see the Allmans in that timeslot.

agreed, abb is one of my favs. i posted this like a million times back in 2008 when it happened. abb dropping out also caused the kanye fiasco. and widespread panic sucked at roo

I was at this show and it ranks in my top 3. The band was totally feeding off the crowd that night. The only shows that I have been to that I would put before it is Soldier Field 95' & Borgata night #1 2005.
