A friend, he called, I didn't mention a thing. The last thing he said was, "Be sound". Sound. I contemplated an awful thing, I hate to admit. I just thought those would be such appropriate last words. But I'm still here.

You know what I am talking about, what is going to be song that everyone screams out for them to play at various points in the evening? There was an organized "Breath" campaign ahwile back and the last tour was the less organized but still powerful "Leash" movement. Any ideas????
Anybody else LOVE Last Soldier and Fallen besides me? Both any played one time. I also love Out Of My Mind. I love Other Side too. I think there is a tremendous chance that it will be played. As far as Brother, that would be just fucking amazing, but I don't thin there is a chance in hell because of the feud it caused. I wish they would cover Ship Song. When they fucked it up at Red Rocks in 95 they never did it again. And I've Got A Feeling would be fucking amazing as well.
Crap! I COMPLETELY forgot 'Last Soldier'. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that song!
And with all that's going on in Iraq right now, and the upcoming election, as well as the latest news about the guy from the Body of War movie(no disrespect, I just forgot his name), I suppose this would make a BUNCH of sense.
To be perfectly honest, it's because I think when Layne passed it kind of got glossed over, because it was somewhat inevitable and drawn out for years. When Kurt disappeared, Ed dedicated 'Go' to him that night and when he died, Ed dedicated 'Alive' to him, and wrote KC on his shirt for SNL. Him and the band were pretty vocal about the whole situation. When Layne died, Ed wrote 4-20-02, but it was a hidden track, and it's never been played live as far as I know. It's time for the band, and Mike especially to honor Layne the way the band has honored Andy and Mother Love bone with 'Crown of Thorns' over the past 8 years. This is just my opinion. Believe me, I don't want to get into a big thing here...
I'm thinking Hold On, No Way, and Who You Are are the 3 people are gonna be wanting. Considering they said B-Sides would be played, I wouldn't be shocked if songs like Hold On, Strangest Tribe, or Other Side make debuts.
Personally I'd like to see a 'Sleight Of Hand' one.But asking for anything not made in the Ten or VS. era is probably asking too much.Hard To Imagine would be a good one but they played that on the last tour a few times....Smile,No Way or All Those Yesterdays would be good ones too.
Sleight of Hand is absolutely killer live. Amazing song.

I would think WMA and Who you Are are extremely unlikely with Matt on Drums. Nothing against him, but I don't think it is a coinciedence that neither song has been played since he joined the '98 tour.
I would love to hear either one of them though........
Ok, I was torn between Who You Are and No Way............NO WAY!!!!
I think it would be the one obscure song that they wouldn't have a hard time digging out.
Heres a token of my openness
Of my need to not disappear
How Im feeling, so revealing to me
I found my mind too clear
I just need someone to be there for.. me
I just want someone to be there for.. me
All the static in my attic-a
Shoots down my side nerve
To the ocean of my platitudes
Longitudes, latitudes, its so absurd
I just need someone to be there for..
I just want someone to be there for..
Someone to be there for..
