    Matt Cameron is a genius on drums. But like the OP said, amazing what he is doing right now.

    at the Denver shows in 2006, my wife and I were walking downtown and stepped in to the Virgin Records store. We're standing in line to buy a CD and MATT CAMERON is standing in front of us....just waiting to purchase his own set of CD's.

    It was funny, because I was just looking around and I glance at the guy in front of me and I'm like "uhhhh" (mentally)...then i whisper to my wife that's Matt freaking Cameron in front of us.

    I didn't say anything to him and the only other person that noticed was the cashier as they did a double take at his credit card and smiled....then he walked out by himself like any other person. Very cool stuff.

    Matt Cameron is my drumming idol! When I saw Pearl Jam for the first time in 1998, I was so blown away by Matt, I knew that I was going to start playing the drums. Thank you, Matt for being such a great drummer and setting the bar so high---I'll never reach it but I'll always be inspired to try...

    He's my idol also and definitely my favorite. I saw Pearl Jam for the first time in 2008, and I had been playing drums for over ten years before I saw them (I started out really young just banging on them and then my dad taught me), but that show changed everything for me. He became my favorite drummer after that show, as I was blown away by him. I got the chance to talk to him for about a minute or two when he was on the AET show!!! :D:mrgreen: I got to be the first caller and I sounded like a total dork.

    "Jesus Christ Pose" might be Matt's best performance EVER.
