Hi. I'm somewhat of a new PJ fan. Got hooked on them when Avacado came out and have since wanted to hear everything i could. I have all studio and official live releases but would now like to get into the bootlegs. Suggestions?

Chicago 16 May 2006, at least that show was in my car the other day (i got complete bootleg lists from 2000 to 2006.)

great, great show, and Eddie in a very talkative mood in his old hometown. band on fire.

Out of the one's still around in common places ie:record stores/best buy/amazon.
the gorge 7 disc set with the 05' and 06' shows
    bennaroya hall oct. 22nd 2003
    mansfield mass july 11th 2003
state college penn may 3rd 2003
new york ny july 8th/9th 2003
Other than that all of the 2000 and most of the 2003 shows are hard to find now without paying through the nose for the original discs.
I didn't start buying boots till the 03' tour but will be picking up all of the 08' shows on cd while most of the sets look similiar and small town seems to be played every night every show always has a gem on it that stands out from 50 other versions of the same song.

I gotta go with Philly 05. Lots of rarities, lots of energy from the crowd, and Mike's amp explodes during Crazy Mary which completely freaks Ed out. Classic stuff.
I smile, but who am I kidding...

This would pretty much be my list as well. Id also add East Rutherford 6/3/06; Philly 05 and, if you can find them, Seattle 2000 and Columbus 2000 (obviously, there are a ton of great shows from '00 -- these are just a couple of my favorites)

The Mansfield show is probably my favorite

By the way, you can still find some of the best '03 shows on Amazon (and a few used '00 shows)
    6/3/06 (East Rutherford 2)
    6/24/08 (MSG1)

Go on over to the Given to Fly forum and hit up the download threads. Hit up Pearjamamerica as well. Go to twofeetthick and read the notes about the shows, and just pick which ones seem cool to you. You'll never go wrong.
