True, but it was the early stuff that made them famous.Johnny Abruzzo wrote:Newch91 wrote:

I don't think he's wrong, as he can't be, it's just an opinion.Newch91 wrote:

I do think that if they stopped before Rubber Soul, they really would not be remembered the way they are.Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V0 -

I know. Preaching to the choir.
I guess to modern ears She Loves You sounds like a boy-band pop song, as opposed to the revolutionary sound it was at the time. I think it still sounds like an awesome song either way, of course. 8-)Spectrum 10/27/09; New Orleans JazzFest 5/1/10; Made in America 9/2/12; Phila, PA 10/21/13; Phila, PA 10/22/13; Baltimore Arena 10/27/13; Phila, PA 4/28/16; Phila, PA 4/29/16; Fenway Park 8/7/16; Fenway Park 9/2/18; Asbury Park 9/18/21; Camden 9/14/22; Las Vegas 5/16/24; Las Vegas 5/18/24; Phila, PA 9/7/24; Phila, PA 9/9/24; Baltimore Arena 9/12/24; Pittsburgh 5/16/25; Pittsburgh 5/18/25

Yep. I think the story of that recording goes they were outside practicing it and the girls heard them and started rushing towards them. The band went into the studio and recorded it and you hear the energy from them on it.Johnny Abruzzo wrote:Newch91 wrote:

Rubber Soul may be their best album, but if what they say is true that the boys were not even talking to each other, and basically hated each other during the recording of the White Album, then that is so awesome. I don't know too much about The Beatles documentary wise but absolutely love them best.0

If you have Netflix, watch The Beatles Anthology. The sessions were really tense. They had 3 studios going at once.marcos wrote:Rubber Soul may be their best album, but if what they say is true that the boys were not even talking to each other, and basically hated each other during the recording of the White Album, then that is so awesome. Acording to the Anthology, it was during Rubber Soul that they started trying new influences and styles, and it was actually in The White Album sessions that the tension began. From what I understood, before the White Album everything was kinda okay among them.November 22nd, 2005.0 -
Yeah and I think John said in the Anthology when Brian died, he knew it was the end of the Beatles.cyndarious1 wrote:marcos wrote:Rubber Soul may be their best album, but if what they say is true that the boys were not even talking to each other, and basically hated each other during the recording of the White Album, then that is so awesome. Cool I will check it out, that reminds me I do have all three of the Anthology music discs which are actually really cool as well, it gives you a look musically I suppose. Do Beatles people feel that adequately divides 3 eras of the Beatles? I initially only bought 2 & 3 but then got the first one for ten bucks and liked it. Help is about as early as I go so far. I've been meaning to buy A Hard Day's Night which I actually like that movie because of the music though it's a bit silly.0 -
Nice. I guess the Anthology discs divide the 3 eras. You have the pre-Beatles and then early Beatle days up to Beatles for Sale, then the Help to MMT era, and then the end of their run. You want to buy A Hard Day's Night movie or CD or both?marcos wrote:Newch91 wrote:
