WTF they need to release this song. they do a great job with it and it is just as much a pj song as betterman is (both taken from the memberms previous bands) THEY NEED TO MAKE A LOST DOGS 2 and put either a studio version of this or the one from LAS VEGAS which is fucking awesome

so cute they are
Ed's vocals on COT are only 80% of what Andy gave that song.
Love Ed to death.
COT is not the best match for him.
Though i was overjoyed and nearly pissed myself when i first got to hear it at MSG.
About as much as i pissed myself when i first heard they played it in Vegas.
It was about time for them to make the nod.
But looking back, i'm not really sure it met the hype i had in my head about it for over a decade.
Okay maybe it did.
But?
If I opened it now would you not understand?
I hate to get technical here actually Ed wrote Betterman when he was like 12 or so... Yeah, it was played in his Bad Radio days, and then revised for Vitalogy but it was never someone else's song.
Crown of Throns is just as personal to Andy Wood as Betterman is to Ed.
Really it's played as a tribute to him and an homage to Mother Love Bone in general...
Also, it's on a fanclub single already.
I love that song.
no more shows
I would, however, like to see Ed sing the Chloe Dancer part. I always hate that they leave that out (other than a few musical bars).
But there already is a kickass studio version, the MLB version. One of my favorite songs of the late 80s/early 90s. So good Cameron Crowe used it in 2 of his films.
Kick it!
agreed - his voice is too low for it.
