If Fred could write lyrics it might be pretty good.

This is by far a Wes album,he destroys it. John Otto is also amazing on it,Fred's lyrics are so-so at best. But if your an old school fan it might be worth grabbing.

Musically the band isn't bad; Wes Borland is pretty talented at the very least. But you can't really tune out Fred Durst unfortunately, and that's why this band will forever be terrible.

The guys over at antiquiet.com wrote a pretty good review of the album. The basically had really positive things to say about the instrumentation and specifically Wes, but ripped Durst to shreds. I think they did it pretty well though, elaborated on their disgust for him. Wes Boreland responded and got into a pretty good discussion via email with the writer. It's a really good read:

I've only ever listened to one Limp Bizkit song properly - Rollin' And I liked it for a while when i was 10 ish. Then I got over it.

Hate Limp Bizkit - like you said, it's Fred Durst that's the problem. The music sounds alrightish, just his voice and lyrics and everything. His personality makes me want to hurt someone :x and I'm not THAT violent a person

That review was funny to read.
Limp Bizkit long ago crowned themselves kings of spastic rap-rocking shit talkers.

as did the rest of the country till we all realized it was lame seeing a wannabe wigger get famous.

btw- three dollar bills y'all is still the shit
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
    Sammi: Wanna just break up?

  • My favorite Limp Bizkit song is "Build A Bridge" from their 2003 album, forgot the name of it. I like "My Way" and a few of their other songs too. Some of their old stuff is pretty corny though.

I listened to some stuff from the new album though and it's awful.
