For those of you who follow the band to several shows or the solo shows. How do you do it? The price of the shows etc..can get very pricey. Let alone the amount of time off work. So my question how do you guys do it?
I have racked my brain of how I could do it and b/c I am in education I would have to do it in the summer.
Thanks

I refer to those in front...

I have yet to do it with PJ, but the time is coming (probably next year.) Its really not that difficult. The biggest issue is probably getting time off, but if that can be done, you really just have to have some money designated for tour. Its really a great experience going on little tours, especially if you have some people with you. The more people going along the better (to a certain point.) Everybody can split gas and hotels (or stay with people you know) and in the end you really only end up paying for food and the tickets along with your share of the others.

Hi airblue  I'm coming from Germany to see PJ at PJ20 and then at the two Toronto shows.
I haven't been on vacation for about five years now, and the rumours about PJ20 were my sign to act :D Getting the time off hasn't been a problem for me, and with a supportive family and some saving I was able to pay the tickets and the rest of the adventure. Accomodation can be cheap when you don't have to live in a hotel - I'm going to live in private guest rooms which sound very comfortable and convenient to me, and provide a good opportunity to get to know people and cities from a less "touristy" side. For me as a German, US prices are awesome at the moment, so even renting a car isn't impossible. Furthermore, you can always ask people on here for seats in cars, a place to sleep or even a ticket. This community is big and kind ;)

The rest of the year will be hard for me financially, but this whole adventure will be so worth it. I can't wait to see the US for the first time, and I love it that this experience will forever be tied to PJ :D

    Hope you can make it!

Being from The South ;) we have enjoyed most of our shows on the road.

The key is not to think about the money cause money really doesn't matter in the end.
    Be thrifty when you can,
save money and pay down cards if you have to use them.

In the past we had a business partner so getting away for 5 days no problem but now
time away for us is a couple days so one concert at a time.

I do see in the future though traveling to become harder to do, biz isn't getting any better
and we aren't getting any younger.

But then we have wonderful memories of happy times in our heyday. Go if you can!
Find a way... you won't be sorry :D
