I know their ratings suck... but, I actually enjoy MSNBC. They present a completely different viewpoint then Fox. CNN in my opinion state their opinion as news... they don't do it as opinion, that's why CNN sucks.
I kinda enjoy MSNBC. I normally don't agree with them, but I enjoy their programs.
Why is there such distaste for Fox, but so little discussion on MSNBC? They obviously are trying to replicate the Fox model on the other side, yet not half as successful. But, I do think it's fun to watch. I like switching back and forth between Fox and MSNBC... Although Fox destroys both MSNBC and CNN in ratings... you want to get a fair point of view... watch both.
I think CNN will be the one left behind. MSNBC is on to something here.

Anderson Cooper pretends to care SO much about gay issues and actually had the nerve once to suggest that the more gay people come out the less bullying there is. But he still hasn't really acknowledged his boyfriend who form what I understand is about to become his husband. Larry King was about as absent as your annoying uncle who just pretended to give a shit about things. Wolf Blitzer and most of the CNN crowd are more bomb-throwers than anything.
Roland S Martin asked if I wanted to come on his show and debate the Tracy Morgan thing with him and Wanda Sykes. I'll never know if he was serious, I just told him that "you know I'm going to make a joke about how Anderson Cooper has heard my jokes about him and he'll be waiting around the corner for me with a machete..." and then I added "OK... see THERE's a funny joke that ends with a gay guy getting stabbed." The invite was pulled pretty fast after that.
FOX is a media outlet for one very greedy and mean-spirited extreme right-wing guy who pours his money into a station that he doesn't even TRY to pretend is anything but a propaganda machine.
MSNBC does have some great shows and a few stinkers. Rachel Maddow is brilliant and funny and although conservatives hate her (because of her rather sharp wit that she's not afraid to use and use it well), they seldom really challenge her on facts or nitpick on the one time she used a questionable source for something.
I miss Keith Olberman. He's a total blowhard but at least he's not an asshole who seems to really enjoy the suffering of other people. You know that Bill O'Reilly loves to tell the story about the time his dad killed a guy's pet cat and fed it to him (that's not made up... that really happened).
