If someone is pro-life, wouldn't it make sense that they give a mother's day gift to pregnant women on Mother's day?

He said thank you.
I wished my wife a happy mothers day when she was pregnant with our first son and gave her a present. She said thank you.
once it is born, they will tell the mom she is on her own to raise the thing lol...
"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."
Wow, you are surrounded by very polite people!
I shit you not.
It might make sense, but I still might feel it'd be a premature gift. If it was me, I'd wait to see a healthy baby. I see your point though.
Very Cool!
I had no idea Ed shopped at (insert questionable business name here)!
Have you ever congratulated anyone on their pregnancy? If it's just a bunch of cells, then why congratulate someone? We don't congratulate people with tumors on their heads.
This is a dumb argument.

Expecting a baby and having a tumor are very different events.

Inlet - It's so dumb, yet you're in discussion.
And yes, having a baby and having a tumor are very different. I would say this is a weird thread, not dumb.
It's a discussion board. I can claim an argument is dumb if I'd like. It is a dumb argument, not weird, dumb.
Talk abortion all you want,... do you really think you'll change someone's mind on the issue? Moreover, do you think this sort of argument adds anything to the debate?

I think they're stupid and mean nothing and I don't wish anyone either and don't acknowledge that they're real.
I picture a small boy, stomping his feet and crossing his arms while insisting that he is allowed to claim anything he wants.
That's about where I'm at JOE
Inlet, please tell me you won't be at the St. Louis show this Friday. You seem like someone who would shout out songs. "I paid for these tickets, I can shout songs if I want!"
That didn't even make sense.
Anyway, this is still a dumb thread.

Oh, I was just trying to be on par with your logic.
But seriously, you aren't going to be in St Louis?
I get what your saying, but my heart melted this year when I got a recorded card from my 3 year old saying "I love you daddy, Happy Father's day!". I play it every day.
So, manufactured or not, it sure made me feel good that day. Now, she does that a lot of days, but it does make it kinda special. She made sure that I got to pick everything that day, from where we ate to what she wore and what toys she would play with...because she said it was my day.
Oh, and yes I've wished Happy Father's/Mother's day to pregnant couples.
No, I won't be there. Have fun.

Thanks.
Sidnum, you are senseless and part of a dumb thread!
it's all about love and taking time to be thoughtful.
I love greeting cards and beautiful words, they are my favorite gift .
I have some of my fondest memories on Mothers Day and Fathers Day,
our own and when I was a kid with my parents.
And yes I would wish a pregnant Mom to be Happy Mothers Day...
she already feels like a Mom!
I do this too.
In my eyes, if a man's wife (or girlfriend) is expecting, he's a dad, because without him there would be no pregnancy. Pregnant women are already moms, because they are growing a person inside of their bodies, even though we can't readily see all the hard work their body is doing. And in the case of an adoption, they are still parents prior to the child arriving, and deserve to be wished a happy Mother/Father's day.
Why?
Because regardless of how someone becomes a parent, they chose to be one long before they ever held their child in their arms. The love for their child was first born in their hearts.
