haha bought the poster. Thought it was sweet till some guy spilled beer over it. Nonetheless, a fantasy setlist in my opinion.
I got some if you need it.

My dad and I were walking from Cheli's to the Fox after the Tigers game and this couple were in front of us at the crosswalk. they were both very drunk but without talking or doing anything, the woman turns and looks at us and goes "You're Canadian, aren't you?"
HOW DID SHE KNOW?! Americans, are we that obvious?

I have always loved the leafs colors and logo to the point of just buying a t-shirt regardless of my love for the Red Wings. However, my attention may now be turning to the Lightnings (GM'ed by our beloved Stevie Y) who changed their uni's to include the same blue and white (in my eyes) with a simple lightning bolt.
I thought The Fox was one of the most beautiful venues I've ever seen. Went to the Bucharest Grill prior to the show & had some delicious shawarma. My 10C seats were great (section F4, row G)! Only bad part was the gestapo employees that threatened to eject me over send a text to my babysitter during the break....and the couple two rows up that was like watching softcore porn. I cant believe someone would pay $75 a tix to dramatically french each other for 3 hrs! That said, great set list, great rapport with the crowd, Glen was wonderful as well!

Maybe Ed will release a songs to make love to album next.
6th Ed show - and my fav. Venue was gorgeous. I was initially a bit bummed 10c put me in the mezz (and the box office had better seats available when I picked up my 10c tix [I may be nuts as far as logisitics, but I would have hoped someone from the fan club would take the production holds and swap them out with some of the worse 10c tix that hadn't been distributed]) but with that said, the view, while a little distant was good and the sound was great. Nice assortment of food (pizza, hot dogs, caramel corn, etc. all relatively reasonably priced). Ed seemed pretty impressed out of the gate with the crowd and the venue. There was some cat calling, but the place was big enough that I think a lot of it got lost in the room. Set was killer, lots of great 10c'ers in our section (M5) - the one merch stand was a nightmare to get near, but the print wasn't for me (can't see too many Leaf fans framing it so I went merchless for the first time ever, but I was cool with it.
Big D as a City seems a bit down on its luck. Downtown didn't seem as bad as people had made it out to me, and all the people we met, including those asking for money, were kind and polite. Was hard to get a cab after the show (so many people spilled onto the street to take pics of the marquee and the cops had a hard time controlling the crowd). Poor dude with a top hat tried to get some order to a cab line, but after a while we gave up and hailed one down the road. Lots of scalpers looking to unload tix outside - I was tempted to "upgrade" but worried about getting scammed.
All and all a great nite and thanks to Detroit for hosting. I'll be back.
I had a great time. Could have done without the drunken assholes, but I'm from Cleveland. I'm used to it. I met some of the nicest PJ fans I had at any shows in Detroit yesterday. Turns out, most of them were Canadian. I need more Canadian Pearl Jam friends. You guys were great.
Also, I wish the Fox wouldn't have let people back to their seats during songs. Most of those theaters make you wait until a song concludes.

Living in the Detroit area...you can pick up a Canadian accent easily. Not sure if they heard you talking or not, but that'd be my guess.

And no one sings me lullabyes
And no one makes me close my eyes
So I throw the windows wide
And call to you across the sky....

You weren't nibbling on some back bacon while sipping on some pop looking for an Eddie Vedder tuque were you? If you were doing all or any combination of these..that's how they knew.
Awesome setlist, the architecture of the venue was awesome, i was in section F4 row Z, i ate at the Hockeytown grill just down the road from the venue. It was basically just the same bar you would find in any sports town, then as soon as i got to the the venue they opened the doors and I got to the merch stand pretty easily, i got a poster, just to commemorate the event more so than because it was a Red wings style poster. The only part that was disappointing was the ushers were like the gestapo over cell phones and stuff, i saw these two guys get basically dragged out for using their phones not even to take any pictures just sending a text to find out where their friends were sitting.
Highlight was when eddie and glen did a song with no mics the crowd went silent for the most part, it was a beautiful experience overall. a second highlight was when the entire venue sang in perfect harmony to "small Town." and eddie said " by far, that was the coolest thing on the tour so far."
and it was pretty easy to tell i was from Canada i was wearing a roots Canada t-Shirt and a blue jays hat lol.

my experience in Detroit was awesome. Stayed at The Atheneum hotel which was absolutely fabulous, ate some great pizza at this place in Greektown and witnessed one of the greatest shows I've ever seen in an absolutely stunning theater! I'm from cleveland and Detroit...Cheers! I'd come back again....
I'm from akron oh, loved the venue, took in a tiger's game (first time at comerica park too) stayed at the Hilton garden inn and had a fantastic time. Went up by myself but met so many great fans. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. What a place to see an intimate show, i would see anyone perform at the fox
The wife and I flew in from Houston, TX for the Detroit show and let me tell you it was worth the trip. Fantastic show and wonderful setlist to boot. First time to see Eddie play an organ. I noticed what the other poster mentioned about the crowd as well but I was so engrossed in the show that the shouts, yelps and constant beer or bathroom runs didn't bother me. If you ever get the opportunity to see a Vedder solo show please find the resources to do so. Totally worth it. See ya Labor Day weekend.
P.S. Had a great time by the Riverwalk area earlier in the day. The city is much better than the reputation.

Glad to hear this from out of towners. Especially the last part.
Specifically the downtown area is much better than the reputation. The drive in from the airport was pretty damn depressing.
Theatre was great, pre-party rocked, after party was even better with the crowd sing alongs, and after seeing EV take bp decided to walk back from Comerica back to Greektown and didn't get mugged. So I'd say I was pleasantly surprised.
"Then the Spirit of God hovered over the water, and God said, Let there be music, and there was Pearl Jam."
Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?
And being a longtime redwings fan made that poster f*cking rock, not to mention the late nite batting practice for ed and cheli
could this batting practice session be watched?
I wondered why the lights for Comerica were on last night

I was disappointed to hear Ed needed a little persuasion to come to Detroit for the tour, but I knew he would like the Fox. Now hopefully, he will be back with the rest of the band very soon. I am glad a lot of people enjoyed themselves.
This was my 3rd time in Detroit Rock City.

Listen DRC is the poster child of the rust of the belt. It def. shows its age in parts. The problem is the parts that are new are awesome and the parts that are old are def. run down! The rebuilding process is def. something that will take some time. I know the former mayor Brown did not help.
However, the three times I have been to DRC the people, bars, venues and hotels could not have been nicer.
Before the show we did the Coney dog battle which was def. a cool experience.
Otherwise DRC is like Pittsburgh we need to continue to work hard and keep our cities and its leaders focused on bringing the rust belt back to its previous dominance.
So best of luck DRC we will see you again, I am sure!!!
Dirty Tom thank you for having us and we wish the Jamily a wonderful summer and look forward to our Labor Day Weekend Gathering!!
Peace Love and Great Music

this is the first fox show i have been to where they were like that about phones...usually it is not an issue in my experience. even during intermission, which imo was a little excessive...and their crazy flashlights were far more a distraction to me than the normal occasional person around me with a cell shooting off a text or a pic would have been.

I'm sure the out of towners weren't thrilled with a Red Wings poster that looks like something 40 year olds had on their bedroom wall in 1987.
However, they got a pretty damn good setlist!!!
