Ureteral Stents

Anyone ever had one? I had to have a kidney stone removed last week and now this stent in inside of me. I get it taken out on Thursday, is it painful? It just doesn't seem like it can be pleasant at all.

    It wont hurt as bad as it did goin in or the first three days after it was put in. Worst part about it is that you will be awake when it happens....DONT LOOK DOWN OR AT THE TOOL THEY USE TO GO GET IT!!!!!!!

    I was knocked out cold when it went it. It's been a bit of a pain since it got put in and I've pissed a ton of blood.

    It will only hurt for the remainder of the day you get it taken out. I was almost hysterical after I saw the tool they use to get that sucker out! DONT LOOK AT IT!!!!

    I plan on doping myself up on vicodin and a shot of whiskey before I go in for the appointment...and then a steady vicodin diet until the pain/blood goes away
