mine where far from terrible in Philly. I was about 20 rows stage right. Yeah, seniority would have been better for me, but I enjoyed my seats.
I understand some got balcony seats, I hope they were low, but blame can't be thrown at 10c...I'd say Ticketmaster/LN have more say on these small venues

the several rows in front of us last night (detroit) and most of the people up to the stage were all people with print out Ticketmaster tickets (so non-10C tix) who were more interested in texting and drinking than they were in the show. I am not joking about this, the 2 rows in front of us were 90% empty for the second half of the show. ridiculous.
I wonder why 10C got hosed on this tour. Are there that many season ticket holders at these theaters?
10c Tickets have been terrible on this tour. I know tickets are random.
I don't know how random they are when I go up at 4:15 when the pickup doesn't start until 4:30 and I get tickets 3 seats away from my cousin who was next in line.
I'm not going to complain about my seats though because row 22 center wasn't bad at all. However, when all 4 people I know there got better seats through ticketmaster, something seems fishy.
I wasn't happy at row 22 but it was still a great time and at least I was dead center with a great view.
I just found it odd that my cousin was next in line right after me and got seats in the same row about 4 seats away from me. That could be a huge coincidence but it sure seemed like they went back to the stack process again for these shows. The ticket lady took my license and handed it to someone who went in the back room and came back with my envelope. It's like they pre-made envelopes and then went in the back and took the next 2 tickets off the pile and then brought them out.

Wow.....that's interesting.. Makes you wonder how they're being dispersed. thanks for your comment.
Don't worry, some people are only happy if they are in the front row. These venues are small. I had 10c seats for 3 shows, in NYC I was about 15th row center and 10th row on the side, and about 20th row on the side in Philly. It was a lot of fun every night, I had a great view, and the sound was perfect.

Thanks for the post "really". We needed to hear that. . It's our first solo show and we are so stoked :P :P :P. We're just going nuts  in anticipation waiting for the event. Eddie is truly an amazing artist and we're just hoping for some memorable seats.

That's not really the point. The point is only around 500 tickets out of 3500 were ten club and we had to get balcony seats or back of the orchestra.
I was dead center in the 22nd row(I liked my seats) and had a great view in Philly, but the other 4 couples I knew there all got their tickets from ticketmaster and all 4 pairs were better than my seats. They had a nice chuckle about it. In their description of random I don't think they ever mentioned you could end up in the back of the lodge or the back of the balcony.
i'll be honest my seats for the night 1 at the beacon where two rows from the back wall dead center....aka behind the soundboard ...in 2008 i was three rows from the stage dead center at the palace theater
when i picked up my 10c seats at the beacon my name and fan club number where on the envelope. so at least for nyc it wasn't the earlier you get there equates to the better seats.

Could be that they randomly distributed a few rows at a time. If a row has 16 seats, eight consecutive people in the 10C may get pairs in the same row. It would take way too long to randomly collate the 10C allotment one pair at a time.
Gonna have 10c tix for Minneapolis and am not expecting much from what I've been reading so far. I thought it was a little peculiar that Stub Hub has tickets available for every section in the venue EXCEPT for the front/middle section of the balcony and the two front boxes on both sides. I'd be totally happy with tix in those sections if I knew it was all 10cer's around me! No reason that any fanclub people should be at the back of the venue though...

So what was the point? I swear you act like you are right about everything. I was in the front, or towards the front of the venue both nights in NYC. The page before you said you were not happy about your seats, now you say you liked them. I don't think they ever mentioned all seats going to be front row either. There looked to be a lot of fan club members down in front as well. http://community.pearljam.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=152067
In fact, it says they are unspecified throughout the venue. There were a lot of people who had "worse" seats than you and your friends through livenation as well.

The same thing happened for the Oz tour. I was pretty disappointed with some of my seats considering I made the trip over from NZ. Shouldn't really complain though because I was lucky enough to be able to go see some shows, and in general my tickets were probably pretty good and I got to experience it from all different areas of the theatres (front, back, mezzanine, balcony).
There's just that slightly competitive aspect where you want to have the best tickets out of anyone you know there! It is a bit embarrassing when your friends get better tickets through ticketmaster etc.

I was disappointed with how many ticketmaster seats were in front of us, that's all. I never said I was disappointed with where I was. There was no need for me to be upset with my tickets being as they were random locations and that I had a great view dead center. My only question was why were there so many ticketmaster seats up front and why did we have ten club members up in the balcony. I understand the season ticket holders at these venues but why did ticketmaster have so many?

the side box seats will probably go on sale within 48 hours of the show in Minneapolis, that's what they did in Atlanta a few years back....if you can get 'em, GET 'em, they are the best seats period.
