    DRIVE ALL NIGHT (SPRINGSTEEN)

    It's Open All Night.

There is a Springsteen song called Drive All Night (on The River), although I don't think Ed has ever covered it before.

This is true. I just checked my Bruce Springsteen "The River" LP and there is a song called Drive All Night. I guess we will wait to see what Kat or Sea post.

It was Drive All Night. There's no need to wait, the info is accurate. This has been confirmed by Springsteen fans who have seen more than 500 shows combined, who were in attendance tonight at the Tower. Plus, Jake Clemons joins Glen Hansard frequently for that song.

There were 30 Songs at the Hartford show...
Do you remember how late Ed played that night??

Time wise this is longer than Hartford even though Hartford was more songs.

I thought the show was running a little bit later tonight!!!

No, it was Drive All Night that Ed played tonight. It's off The River. I have several Springsteen vets who have seen 100s of shows texting me from the show.

Oh. He did Open All Night in Boston a few days ago, so I thought that is what it was. I don't know too much Bruce so...

You don't know too much Bruce? Then why bother to post, especially to "correct" accurate info, if you don't know what you are talking about?

Jesus Christ dude, relax. He's never done that song before and he's done Open All Night a few days ago so I tried to help out. Sorry to get you all upset. My god.

Thank you for the accurate info. I kept it a Drive All Night on the main page. I am a casual Bruce fan myself so I will take all the input I can get.

Drive All Night as part of the performance of the complete River at MSG '09. I've seen almost 200 shows and this was one of the top 3 shows I've ever seen, might be the best. It is widely regarded as the best Springsteen show of the last 10 years. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6jHZjp8ZoY

Listening to it right now on The River LP, such an unbelievable song. This is one I have to hear done by Ed.

One of my all time favorite Bruce songs... Clarence kicks in about halfway through and closes it out. There's a terrific version of the song from a boot of the European leg of the 2008 tour. Was always a rarity, though... so to have Ed and Jake play it tonight is quite a spectacle to remember. :D
