Labels; Conservative & Liberal

Tired of seeing the "liberal" or "conservative" labels being spread around like peanut butter here.
These labels are usually used in lieu of talking about the merits of the ideas you're trying to communicate. If the ideas are so fragile that insults or labels are a better way to make an impression, you need new ideas. Politcal bias grows like an absess around people's forebrains eliminating any possibility of rational and objective thought processes.
Once we stop identifying with these labels and stop compartmentalizing others using these labels, I think we can start a serious dialogue in the US (and here on the AMT). It also allows us to not see everyone else as either "good" or "bad" depending on our self-granted label.
just an idea

Everything not forbidden is compulsory and eveything not compulsory is forbidden. You are free... free to do what the government says you can do.

Couldn't agree more.

all need to go.
ANGER is a liberal prerequisite.
Think about it.... have you ever met a happy Liberal? They're always upset about something. They're always hating someone, while preaching peace and compassion.
They even hate their own... look how they're treating Obama right now:

This couldn't be further from the truth, and what a way to knock the OP's idea in this thread.
Labels are a crappy way to address anyone.
As it is, we seem to be trying to figure things out and trying to make ourselves happy by standing on each other's shoulders and kicking everyone else's teeth in.
And where you're holding your meetings to speed up the process, I'm sure.
It's because everyone is too preoccupied with their own egos. Drop the ego preoccupation and all of sudden problems would get solved.
i take that to mean you hate the Constitution.
Why do I feel like a chess player at a checkers tournament?
And after all we're only ordinary men
Me, and you
God only knows it's not what we would choose to do
Forward he cried from the rear
and the front rank died
And the General sat, as the lines on the map
moved from side to side
Black and Blue
And who knows which is which and who is who
Up and Down
And in the end it's only round and round and round
Haven't you heard it's a battle of words
the poster bearer cried
Listen son, said the man with the gun
There's room for you inside
Down and Out
It can't be helped but there's a lot of it about
With, without
And who'll deny that's what the fightings all about
Get out of the way, it's a busy day
And I've got things on my mind
For want of the price of tea and a slice
The old man died
I agree.
labels are necessary so you can split and compartmentalize others into little boxes so you can store them away and never think about it again in detail, and more importantly, to protect the ego from the bewilderment of the all-encompassing mystery of everything and everyone.
Wondering if you wrote this?
Not bad.... damn good actually.
I'm labeling you as someone with a good sense of humor, because if I didn't, this happy liberal would be sad.
You should hear it with music behind it. It's even better. It's lyrics from one of the greatest bands ever, off of one of the greatest and best-selling albums of all time. Strong hint: the song title is the first line.

Sarcasm.
no it's not....they all are..although i guess that label would then be politician.
