worth more than that price to me.
....and Ten...and Vs...and my personal favorite...Vitalogy!
Yes, this was my first PJ album... It's when I found them and things would never be the same... I can't believe it's been 10 years now.
I do remember josh "horrell?" being interviewed on 1057 the point in st. louis. He was the kid that leaked the album. Yield was the first commercial album that was leaked ahead of its' release date via the interweb. I also remeber the radio station hiding tickets for the tour around the city behind yield signs. I had my mom drive me around the city trying to find tickets. I ended up getting tickets for the show later.
yes his website back when he was in college i believe at syracuse....was the one that hosted the yield mp3's. i do remember uploading given to fly and do the evolution for him as they had leaked on Krock in NYC Thanksgiving day 1997. I had converted those to mp3's from my tape, and emailed them to him.
Shortly thereafter, Krock had played the first 4 tracks of the album and I had those uploaded to josh. Shortly thereafter, there was a promo cassette from Japan that had leaked and radio mp3's were soon taken down as the promo cassette was "better quality" hehe.
The good ol' days.
There's a few of us left that contributed to that site.
Same here....
they changed everything for me.....
"The leads are weak? Fuckin' leads are weak? You're Weak! I've Been in this business 15 years"
"What's your name?"
"FUCK YOU! THAT"S MY NAME!"
not really concerned with Pearl Jam at the time... two years later however i was fucking obsessed... but yeah thats what happens when ur 12...
although i did totally make a mix tape off the radio and Wishlist was on that bitch for sure!!
Same here.
Junior year in college living with about 4 or 5 Pearl Jam freaks like me. Doing a lot of drinking and smoking listening to PJ. Great memories, I miss those days.
I can remember about 15-20 of us packed into a room at the end of the year when they played Wishlist on Letterman. We wore Yield out, it was great.
Yeah, I took a lot of those 'botany field trips' too.
You think the Slayer tour is out, or what?

Yield was the first PJ album I bought as a new release (I came on in 96/97), so I was hugely excited. I was sick the week the album was released and missed a few days of school (9th grade). My mom was nice enough to go out and buy the CD for me the day it was released while I rested at home. I remember my dad walking in my room while "Do the Evolution" was playing and saying something along the line of "I hope that isn't supposed to be the best song on the album." In 2006 after he saw PJ with me for the second time he admitted that DtE is a lot of fun live even if he never liked the song.
They can buy but cant put on my clothes
Throw down my ace in the hole~~~~~~
