A new way to change lifestyle

Sometimes I'm just not motivated to change. It's work, and I'd rather read.

However, there are things I want to do, or wish I included in my life. I have New Year's Resolutions, and Birthday resolutions, and solstice resolutions and sometimes they work, and sometimes they don't.

I just thought of a new pattern to change a behavior.

Let's say I want to do X daily as a lifestyle change, but I haven't done it yet.

I'll do X for a day.
Once I complete that I'll do X daily for 2 days.
Once I complete that I'll do X daily for 3 days.
Once I complete that I'll do X daily for 4 days.
Once I complete that I'll do X daily for 5 days.
Once I complete that I'll do X daily for 6 days. . . . with each new goal I already know that I almost completed it within the last goal.

Anyone else have *patterns* or tips that helped them make lifestyle changes?

I find the best way to add something new is to find a permanent place for it in my weekly schedule. Organization helps me because then it's not something I "don't have time for." :geek:

Its all about prioritizing ... everyone has 24hrs in a day
also goal setting is a great way and the simple fact that you have sought for some advice is a great start
