Have you been staying up to watch any of these sets come in Dimi? I was planning to, but in practice doing this would probably just ruin my life!

I went to Hartford "by myself". Never felt alone . . . you won't either! . . . Ed / PJ fans are a friendly bunch.

You're so lucky to be there.
I'm profoundly sad to be missing it. :(

There are those who say loge are the best seats in the Beacon.

Where are your seats in the loge? If they are center and first row, those are incredible seats. You will see. Much better than Orch left or right or orch center 15 rows back.

I sat Orch left 5th row and not even that great. Loge is the way to go. Great seats man!

Cool, thanks for the info. First time in Beacon so I wasn't sure. Left Center row B, sounds good.

Sounds like the NY tee shirt is state fair themed not a license plate. Can anybody ask someone there to get a picture of it and share so we can see it?

VF Daily’s Best Secrets series reveals, well, the best secrets about the globe’s most prestigious concert halls, sports arenas, theaters, restaurants, and more.

Rick Claffey, Madison Square Garden Entertainment group’s senior vice president and general manager of facility operations, began as a stagehand with the company 25 years ago and now oversees all functions—from production and the ushers to maintenance and the box office—at the Beacon Theater and Radio City Music Hall, in New York City, and the Chicago Theater, in Chicago. Most recently, he supervised the seven-month restoration of the Beacon, which originally opened in 1929. Here are Claffey’s choices for the best seats in the concert space.

The Best Seat: “While most want to sit in the orchestra, in reality, the loge level provides the best overall experience. Rows A or B are really where to find the best seats. In the loge, there are only 630 seats, there aren’t people standing in front of you, and it’s intimate. The section is only 55 feet from the stage, so it’s like you, as a viewer, are head on with the artist.”

The Best Seat for an Acoustic Show: “For an acoustic show like Bruce Springsteen, the balcony is the best, and it’s even better now after the restoration, because we really focused on the sound enhancement of that area. The balcony is so deep that the sound used to get lost up there, but that’s no longer the case. Further, the party is always in the balcony at the Beacon Theater. The patrons in the balcony always rip the roof off the place and really bring a lot of energy to the theater.”
