Terrace Theatre Long Beach ... Sound?

I've never been to the Terrace Theatre in Long Beach, but after reading some reviews I'm a little concerned about the sound quality in the venue... seems like everyone gives the place 3 stars (rarely better) and several online reviewers complained about the sound mix.
So... anybody have relevant experience? Can we make sure the EV crew knows about potential sound issues in advance?

Is it too much to ask for a full-blown Temple of the Dog set? Probably.
