Thanks for the quick response. Sounds like Ed almost got bumped. They were running outta time. So basically he doesn't come on until like the last 5 mins of the show. Even more waiting for us West Coasters.

no way...that other guy got bumped FOR Ed...he was booked and announced last minute...they usually book more in advance...poor guy...but good for us...6 more days...here I come Doo-Twah!

I don't get it, why did the Cameron interview go for so long? Maybe Ed was late? And this isn't live, right, why not just edit out some Cameron bits, especially the surfing? I was cringing for Ed listening in the back. I don't have anything against Cameron but geez, that was a bit too much Cameron time if you ask me. And the whole A Rod thing? Who gives a f?

I wansn't sure how it would come out on TV with Ed and just a uke. I thought it may come out real cheesy.

but he hit it out of the park. Not many artists could pull that off.

Loved Ed's performance!! And what a beautiful tribute to Clarence. I was also wishing for an interview, but I was just so happy to see Ed perform on Lettermen!

Incidentally, I don't know if this happened anywhere else in the country, but where I live, right after Dave announced Ed, our local cable station cut to a test alert for the Emergency Broadcast System! You can only imagine how upset I was. However, thankfully, it only lasted a few seconds, and when they returned to Lettermen, they were showing the close-up of "Clarence" on Ed's uke. So luckily, I don't think I missed very much!
