    Hope you'll be OK.

I can't exactly identify with your predicament but if they're waiting until September to find out if you have a cyst, it sounds like they're not worried about something critical.

I'm no clinician but I know a little about cysts. They are growths that aren't necessarily malignant but can cause problems because of the pressure they place on your organs. I had a lot of trouble from them years ago affecting my female plumbing.

Again, I'm no clinician, but I had my ovaries removed (due to cysts) as a day surgery. Surgery early in the morning, home early afternoon. So I don't think it would be considered major surgery.

I agree Chad that if they are waiting until September to do a follow up test. If they'd seen something significant such as the things you're worried over, you can be sure no one would be waiting until September to check it out.

Nevertheless..pain is the body's signal to fix something right?

Keep on top of it. If that's all they've come up with go and get a 2nd opinion...and not to rile you up, but it seems like you're a bit uncomfortable with the diagnosis..so do it soon. If only for your own peace of mind. Just so you know, the medical community is NOT offended by you asking for a 2nd opinion..and in most cases actually welcome having that other pair of eyes (and in your case ..hands) to confer with. So either ask your primary doc or your ins. co for an experienced urologist to give you a 2nd exam. The 2nd opinion will either corroborate your doc's opinion which will put your mind at ease..or come up with something else that you can test for...which will also ultimately make things better.

Kidney problems can cause all sorts of urinary problems, kidney stones can sometimes cause pain in that sensitive area. I'm sure you've already looked up cyst.

    On the other hand, Chad....
Hanging around with loose women? Wearing your jeans a tad too tight? :D

Had a prostate exam? (I'm sure your doc did that)

Good luck. Hope you feel better soon. Hugs

I hope everything turns out okay!!! Just know that, if need be, you CAN live with one kidney!! and you CAN live with one testicle!! (personal note--my brother had to have one of his removed, and it's all good). :D Like others have said, stay on top of it, and don't rely on one doctor's opinion. Best wishes!

Hey Chad _ cysts aren't a huge deal unless, like others have noted previously, they are causing you discomfort. Sounds like the testicular area is fine, if there was something there, they'd probably be acting a lot more quickly.

I'd avoid ripping one out and playing basketball with it, though. Too slippery to dribble properly.

...after this weekend, I no longer question my mid-thirties appeal...

Chad, as everybody else said...they are probably not too concerned right now. If it makes you feel better, go for a second opinion, somebody else may think of a test the first doctor didn't.

good luck buddy, you'll be alright...smoke a doob and chill...here's some marley for ya:

When I started reading that sentance really thought it was going to say 'Keep your pecker up' was relived when it didnt. ;)

Always miss you on here Chadwick. :(

Cysts - I have had a couple of cysts removed, sebacious ones so a bit different. But they went horrible so had to come out.

I'm sure it'll be ok and it's better that they have found out about it so they can do something.

    Anyway, swim, swim,swim.

    plus the splat factor

I don't think that a cyst on the kidney has anything to do with (basket)ball cancer anyway, does it?

  • hope all is well, i'm sure it'll be nothing to worry about - like everyone's said, if there was something there that they thought might be cancerous they wouldn't wait until september.

my dad's a surgeon, specialises in cancer and he's told me a lot of times that most of these lumps and bumps and cysts aren't cancerous and if they are, and you've been tested of course, they'd be taken out straight away. most of the time they are just benign and don't really affect people unless it's painful, in which case they also get taken out. I

would try not to worry too much even though it is definitely a bit scary when stuff like this happens, go, enjoy yourself and swim :)

sending my thoughts and good vibes :)
