Good to see Federer playing well again, must be his new racquet! Hahah

Didn't know there was one. My searching skills on this new board are not good.

And the shoes. Must be the Jordan's.
Yep, we got a dedicated tennis thread, but its lately been just me talking about what tennis racquet I wanna buy next. (Rf97 cough cough, unless he gets knocked out of the open)

So it doesn't really matter! I just like talking tennis, dont really care what thread its in.

Monfils! Great athlete, love watching him play, but he falls apart during matches, kinda sad to see.

    Roger/Novak U.S. Open final?
I have not played tennis in years. I keep saying I want to get back into it, but never do.

Yeah, he certainly feel apart last night. Had him beat and couldn't do it.

I really do not want to see Novak beat him again, although I would love to see Federer get redemption against him in New York.

He is a great athlete, and certainly entertaining. When playing at his best he can keep up with anyone on tour. He just lacks that cold-as-ice, killer mentality. He flat out cannot finish big matches, nor finish off top seeded players in big situations. When the tide turns in favor of his opponent, he just shuts down.

I was playing (tennis) quite a bit earlier this year but injured my right root and got some tennis elbow, so been out from the game since. I also Figured I play some golf while I recover (picked up some new clubs etc), but been too lazy to even test em out yet!

I'll get back to Tennis in November, two good sites for tennis gear

    true,

and he's also got some of the best on court movement and shots in the game, and his forehand at full power is just awesome.

Yeah I think the Monfils match took its toll. And Cilic had a dominating performance.

ya I mean, he still has major skills, still (at times) looks as good as ever, though I guess he's probably feeling his age a bit more now. not that 33 is ancient, but in tennis terms it's not young.

I think if things fall into place for him, and he can keep fatigue (etc) at bay, I think he could win at least another Wimbledon.

I'll pass on doing Federer

Doesn't get much better than this 5 game match, pretty much sudden death.

Bummer.   These three are so damn good.   Fed made some poor decisions late.

I love awesome matches like the one today. I hate spending 5 hours in front of the TV, but this was a matchup for the ages. Glad I was able to watch it all. Bittersweet to see it end and makes me sad to think we may not get to witness Federer at the top much longer. Been playing lots of tennis with the kids the last few days and they both immediately started cheering for Federer after we watched the Nadal game.
    It's a hopeless situation...

Couldn’t find a recent Tennis thread.  Search engine sux.

Kyrgios is so good that he lets himself get in the way…

I have been watching him for his antics but he can play.  Good too.
