The first official "Mattingly 23" picture to be posted after midnight U.S. time in the country where PJ20 is being held.

If Pearl Jam were a baseball player, they would be Don Mattingly. :D

I am a Yankees fan, and I don't want to derail this, but I'm sorry Mattingly is overrated. He was a great player, but isn't even a Hall of Famer. Winfield was better then, had a better career, and besides if Pearl Jam were a baseball player, they'd be Babe Ruth - the greatest player ever without a debate. So far ahead of his/their contemporaries that it will take steroids in 70 years to produce a band that appears to be better, but really isn't.

Ok. Now, back to the countdown. Where were we? Oh, yeah - Mattingly, Jordan and Beckham. Not a bad trio.

Dave "Mr. April" Winfield is not here and this is the only museum that matters to me as a Yankee fan. Go to a Yankee game now and there are as many Mattingly jerseys in the stands as Jeter and A-Rod and he's been retired for sixteen years. I could give two shits about the HOF and who they include or not.

I agree with one of those: should be the Cubs manager. But, GREATEST 2nd baseman of ALL TIME? How about Rogers Hornsby? Joe Morgan? Roberto Alomar? I liked Ryne Sandberg, but i don't think he's near those guys.

23 DAYS!!!!!!!!!1 3 weeks from today and i'll be on the road to WISCONSIN!!!

Joe Morgan sucks, he was overrated as a 2nd baseman and was good because he was in a ridiculous lineup, he wasn't half the fielder that Ryno was, Alomar was a great fielder too. Joe Morgan also sucks as a commentator and I don't think anyone was happier than me that he got canned from ESPN.

    Morgan (the bitch) vs Sandberg

    Ryno Career - 16 yrs
    .285 avg 282 hrs 1061 RBI 2386 Hits .989 fielding pctg 9 Gold Gloves

    Morgan - 22 yrs
    .271 avg 268 hrs 1133 RBI 2517 hits .981 fielding pctg 5 Gold Gloves

Ryno hit better with more power and was a better feilder. Morgan has him barely in hits and RBI's and he played 6 more years.

Morgan(the bitch> ...i like that one). I like Sandberg more too, but alot of the so-called experts say Morgan was better. Maybe, because of his PRIME years were better then Sandberg's? I'm not looking it up>

Lets see the comparison between Ryno & Rogers Hornsby> . I'm not a know it all, but i think he's the GREATEST 2nd baseman off ALL TIME. Roberto Alomar is the BEST i've seen in my life-time. How will Robinson Cano & Dustin Pedroia's career compare, when ther careers are over?

DId anyone post Michael Jordan's #23?
