Such beautiful music. In love with the first album, haven't gotten around to listening to the new one in it's entirety but planning on doing so soon! Also, for anyone that hasn't seen Justin was on Jimmy Fallon a little while ago and did a great cover of Bonnie Raitt's 'I Can't Make You Love Me' (and added in some Donny Hathaway): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYgPge9uziA

Was not high on the new album at first (although I was listening on computer speakers). However, I am loving it now that I have listened in car and at home.

Can't wait to see them at the HOB in Boston in August.

agreed. after two listens through I think it's my favorite track. The whole album is fantastic though, a great followup to his first.

Just picked it up at my local record store Bull Moose Music. They gave me an additional CD with three songs not on the album.

    1. Wisconsin (Justin Vernon)
    2. Come Talk To Me (Peter Gabriel)
    3. I Can't Make You Love Me/Nick of Time (Mike Reid & Allen Shamblin/Bonnie Raitt)

On a side note Bull Moose Music employee Chris Brown came up with the idea for record store day. Pretty cool!!

this CD is amazing - i agree. I saw he (they - whatever) was coming to Seattle in september and i would have gone just to see skinny love (one of my favorite songs of all time), but after listening to the new disc several times i think i've become a much bigger fan. honestly one of the best albums of 2011 in my opinion.

this is an example of bowing down to those who can create such powerfully beautiful music. to create for emma, one of the best albums of the last decade and one of my all time favorites and to follow that up, with this, a completely different, new album and have it be equal to For Emma is astounding. So many amazing songs on this one. The piano on Wash is gorgeous.

i forget who it was on this board, but its a female, and they live in Eau Claire i think and this person even met justin. i'd be interested to hear her view on the new one.

I keep listening to this CD and can't stop. It gets better and better. Just an amazing CD overall. Doesn't "Beth / Rest" (last track on album) sound like an ending to a 1980's love movie or something.....? What a great track. The guitar and synth kick in at 3:40 - wow.

Yeah, it's a risky move for him to take but he pulls it off perfectly. This album is definitely one of my favorites so far this year.

I'm listening to the album on these wireless headphones that make it seem you'e right in the studio. Got 'em hooked up to high def 7.1 stereo system at home. They're the shit. Enjoy the link below.

Just started listening to him/them actually. I think I like the new album than For Emma, it seems much more layered and ambient, which is more to my tastes. I just wish Vernon would enunciate a little more when he sang.
    Thanks EPOTTSIII!

First time I heard "Beth/Rest", it reminded me of "Mandolin Rain" by Bruce Hornsby.
