anyone here ever do stand up comedy?

i've played in bands for years, but my latest obsession is the idea of doing open mic night at a standup comedy club...it seems like the absolute ballsiest thing you could ever do, i really don't know if i will ever actually muster up the courage to try it....has anyone here ever done it? or have a friend who has?
