Heya 10clubbers :)

I'm heading to Hawaii in a few weeks (after Eddie's shows :p) and I'm looking to buy a Uke while I'm there.

I've been playing guitar for 12 years but I'm not an expert.

I'm looking to buy a soprano Uke. I love the sound of it and my GF finds it "so cute!".

What do you think a max budget of $300 can buy me there? Also, where to buy one if someone has experience or knowledge?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Ric

Kamaka... The only choice and yes 5/6ths of my family was born on Maui.

You may have to get a used one, and that is ok. They are great instruments.

How easy it is to find a good used one? And do you think is available in any retailer that sells Kamaka?

  • To go new kamaka 4 string will run you about a thousand, koa top, rosewood neck. 300 may get you a used but go with eddie's. If you can afford a trip to Hawaii and Eddie show, you swing 1000 for the uke. Good luck
