Is there a link to the complete list? It would take me a year to get through all 50 pages at the rate this site is moving.

My Mum and I are complete chickens when it comes to roller coasters but we decided to check one out when we went to Queensland. We spent about and hour looking at it and checking that it wasn't too scary and finally decided to go on it.
As the bloody thing started to move, the guy that was taking the tickets yelled into his microphone, "Enjoy your 3 upside loops guys!!!!". Mum and I just looked at each other terrified because it was too late to back-out. As it happens, you can't see the loops from the inside of the theme park!!!!!!!!!!!!:lol:

i went through them all. I think Cedar Points had 3. #1 was Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure in NJ.

I was never a huge roller coaster fan. Always thought I would throw up, First one I went on was some dinky one in Hershey Park. First "real" roller coaster I went one was in Six Flags Great Adventure in NJ called Great American Scream Machine, had like 7 loops and was pretty fast at 60 or so MPH. No longer exists. Actually most of the roller coasters I went on are no longer around. Haven't been to an amusement park in about 15 or so years and that was Hershey Park.'

edit: according to wiki Great American Scream Machine was torn down in 2010. I thought it was gone before then.

Two things shock me about your post. One is that the first roller coaster I ever went on was taken down (Great American Scream Machine) and two that Kingda Ka is #1 overall. I thought it was fun but not that fun.

#42...is that the wooden coaster? Been on that one.

Funny, Puyallup Fair is only open twice a year...

    5 days in the Spring
21 (ish) days in the Fall

Raging Bull isn't on there? What a disappointment. At least they included American Eagle. That roller coaster is so old that it's practically falling apart, but it's still fun.

You ain't lyin' 81. We call that damn ride "The Hangover" because it beats the ever loving shit out of you and afterwards you have such an awful headache that you feel like you've spent the last 3 days drinking Irish Whiskey. I can't believe that ride made the list. The Raptor at Kings Island and The Magnum at Cedar Point are both better. Top Thrill Dragster is always a mess but it's worth the wait. The launch will rip your face off.

I might be inclined to call it "The Concussion"
81 is now off the air

    Hmmm

roller coaster names seem to be of the same vein as the American Gladiators' names

I went to cedar point a couple years ago. Tbh I think I get more fun from the arcade games than coasters. I won a Domo at the arcade in cedar point. Also a Brian from family guy but I dunno where it went.

  • I can't believe the beast is on this list. That ride does nothing but leave you with a headache.
  • good to see Bizarro on there, that is a great coaster (and about 2 miles from my house)

  • six flags great adventure is the closest park to me. been there many times. as a kid, my favorite ride was medusa (now bizarro). now it's meh. i was probably 9 or 10 when nitro first came out. and i was absolutely terrified to ride it. i finally rode it last year and it was incredible, definitely my favorite coaster in the park besides el toro. :rock_on:

Obviously not on the list, but the 60-year-old wooden roller coaster in Vancouver is great because it's terrifyingly old and rickety, lol. I always expect to just go flying off the tracks or for the frame to collapse. Sometimes you can hear it creaking as you roll over it. In really hot weather it goes way too fast and the cars actually catch a little air at the top of each hill, and since there is just a loose lap bar you have to cling to, so you have to work hard to keep yourself from flying right out of your seat on a good day, so on those hot days, you really feel like you might die. The old thing is a hell of a lot scarier than skydiving, and skydiving was scary, hahaha.
