Massachusetts Human Trafficking

This is a long shot, but I was wondering if Eddie Vedder could mention to the audience at Thursday's show in Boston that Massachusetts is one of four states in the United States that do not have human trafficking legislation. There are a number of bills that could change that in the current session however. HR3470 was passed by the state representatives unanimously; it subsequently has been amended to H3483. Senate Bill 1921 would have more provisions for victims. http://articles.boston.com/2011-06-11/b ... -penalties

Here is a recent human trafficking case in Dorchester/ Quincy: http://articles.boston.com/2011-05-20/n ... ss-hearing
Here is a case of a city councilor that was recruited by a pimp while she was waiting for the subway: http://articles.boston.com/2010-09-25/n ... ploitation
I've talked to a few state senators while doing lobbying work on behalf of this issue, and they told me that if they get 5 letters/ calls from their constituents on a single issue, that they pay attention. This is a really achievable goal.
I must admit that I didn't know my state representative or state senator before doing this work. I've learned that we need to be more active to let them know how our politicians should represent us. How can they represent us if we don't tell them what we want? This goes along the idea of you can't be neutral on a moving train.
Also, it would be really awesome if Eddie and Pearl Jam could be part of the "Real Men Don't Buy Girls" campaign which is about sex trafficking/ exploitation. The Demi and Ashton Foundation is leading the cause. It would be cool if your sign reads "Be a Betterman, Don't buy Girls"
I think that would also make a cool shirt.
Here's a huffington post article about the campaign: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/04/1 ... 47291.html
Here's the facebook page for the campaign with the pictures of people holding up the sign:
