people just need to sit back, relax and enjoy the show. Yeah some people are going to be assholes but you can't do anything about it, so fuck them and enjoy the show for yourself.
see you at the Beacon night 20 -
Well put my friend.demetrios wrote:I don't mind if somebody next to me is texting, relaying the set list back to the message board or facebook/twitter what songs are happening. I don't mind if they are video taping or audio recording. Even if they are taking a photo every 3rd or 4th song of the set played. It's fine with me.
But what's not ok with me is people yelling & screaming @ Ed while he is talking while going nuts in a small theater. Let the man on stage talk, sing & play for us. That's what we're all there for. To see Ed at work. Oh, about the phones, yes I agree, talking on them during the show is pretty annoying. Just text. If you don't know how to text, go outside of the room and talk there on the phone.0 -
I had to replay this video for some of my friends it cracked me up so much!breath123 wrote:jimed14 wrote:The EV shows have a pretty strict no photo/recording and, no cell phone usage policy during the set.
It's venue specific on how strict they will be, but, people have been bounced for use of the cell phone at past EV shows.
But, if you keep it in your pocket and have it on vibrate (or off), you'll be 100% ok.
Just ... don't be this girl ...

I know in 2008 there were no photos allowed and it said so on the tickets but my tickets this year don't say anything. I would love to bring my camera and snap a few pics but if it's not allowed I won't bother

Nope, I got the same policy for Santa Barbara.
Same policy for Portland.
Ok got it. No cameras. It's not on my Ticketmaster confirmation or maybe I just missed it. Thanks for confirming!0 -
As long as people aren't putting their phones in my sight line, I don't care if they take pictures or video (as long as it's allowed, which it isn't in this case).
What I really hate is the people who insist on yelling stupid requests at Ed the entire show. It gets old after about 2 seconds. I loved at the Chicago shows a few years ago when he told people to just not bother yelling out song requests, and that he knew how to write a setlist and didn't need any help from rookies.

Holding I-Pad up the whole show is beyond description. I couldn't do anything but laugh.
These things really should be outlawed-
I swear, if anybody takes their iPad out in my section I'll smash it-
Really is beyond description, so here you go: http://youtu.be/n-0_TGkap_U
