I have never had a problem with IE.

Maybe so, but Firefox and Safari are faster browsers, and if I had to pick one to use for buying tickets, it wouldn't be IE. It all also depends on what computer you're using, what connection, etc.

Hey all, I'm getting into practice mode for tomorrow. I just did a run through and as I'm clicking on "tickets" in the goods section it doesn't even say 'out of stock'... just keeps showing the bootlegs icon.
Is this normal at this point when it is completely sold out?

yes. it will only show the Bootlegs 2008 clipart and associated text when there are no seats for sale. when the tickets are up (for any given show), there will be an icon to the right of the bootleg text (hyperlink) that lists the show date and has a tour icon. you click on that and hope for the best! as everyone has noted, sometimes you will click on the link only to see "Temporarily out of stock". This doesn't necessarily mean they are sold out, so keep refreshing your browser.

It also helped me to empty my browser cache--though it had no influence on the presentation of the 10c page, it at least cleaned out enough crap to make my browser a bit quicker.

I was a hair shy of homicidal trying to get west coast tickets last Spring--going through the reload/ refresh/ site down/ site up/ credit card time out/ etc--and never did get seats. by comparison today was a breeze for Boston seats, I hope everyone else has similar luck!

essentially what I have done is if I see a buy button i right click and open in new tab. If i get temp out of stock I go back to the one that already has the buy link and do the same thing again. rinse and repeat until you either get them or the whole thing is sold out.

once i started doing this I've had great success

pearl jams site is set up in frames so

in firefox, right click in the center frame, go to 'this frame'>'show only this frame'

instead of clicking refresh, keep clicking on the ticket icon

remember 'temp out of stock' doesn't mean sold out.....keep clicking until it say 'out of stock'

oh and a fast internet connection helps too :)

    good luck! :)

I missed out on the first show, used this method, and got tickets to night 2! It works great, USE IT!!!

Thanks for the tips, I've just downloaded Firefox too, so I'll try that for NYC1 and see how I go. It seems to be slow right now, but that could be that the site is still recovering.

No idea. I'm currently logged in on IE and Firefox, but will only be using Firefox when the tix go on sale... I get too nervous to be messing around with multiple browsers. Firefox seems to be faster than IE right now.

  • What do you mean by the "center frame?" Is this in the goods section?

Well, what I did was right click on the ticket frame and followed the instructions, it changed the look of the page a bit, not sure I did it correctly, but we'll see what happens in 30mins ;)

Good luck to you too! I would love to see him at Massey Hall ;)

So nervous right now... *bites nails* I'm okay knowing it's a long shot, but you never know your luck... otherwise, there's always Ticketmaster ;)

Yeah, I got that too. Got the "buy" button so many times and actually missed it a few times cause my refreshing finger was way too fast. I got logged out twice and the second time I got kicked out, I managed to get the tickets. Once they were in my cart, I was surprised how easy it was. Thanks to everyone for their tips, I will only use Firefox for this from now on. Cheers ;)

No kidding! I got 'em too. I was in the nosebleeds for both MSG but I didn't care. I'm very excited at getting 10c tix for the first time ;)

Okay, this looks like it might work AWESOME! Seems like a real fast reload of the page, and doesn't reload all the superfulous shit on the side of the page and the background.

Let me ask this though if anybody knows, is there a way to make the fucking scroll bar on the side show up differently? It pisses me off that I'll have to scroll each time I click on the ticket I'm trying to buy......
