I keep going back and forth on the DP shuttle. I'm going with my sister, who doesn't drink, so she'll be able to drive both days and save us money.

BUT it would be awesome to take a shuttle with a bunch of other PJ fans...I would be more interested in it if 1) we could drink on the bus and 2) the bus could park in the lot so we could tailgate a la Miller Park style...

Yes I would love to know the policy of tailgating around the bus. Obviously they cannot have drunk fools going crazy the entire day- but a reasonable amount of drinking/hanging out seems fair.

  • Most buses allow you to drink on the bus. I would imagine that the bus stays in the lot, so I don't see why you wouldn't be able to tailgate outside of it.

In the past when I have taken a bus to Alpine for a show, we had no trouble tailgating/drinking right by where all the buses park...

  • This sounds like very sad attendance for this bus. Instead of a party, is it going to be five strangers looking around awkwardly??

Anybody know if the Chicago/Des Plaines shuttle are one and the same, just making two stops?

Yeah, it is a quick 5-10 min cab ride to the pickup spot from where you are staying. You are right on the blue line too....that isn't far away at all from the holiday inn and takes you right downtown. Enjoy your stay!
