Anyone suffer from restless legs?

My legs have always bounced up and down, but lately, I've been getting annoying pains associated with it.

It's quite bothersome.

yeah, my doc tried to put me on some med for it but I declined. I take way too many meds for other crap. I'll deal with my wayward legs.

did you have a physical lately? I take a drug that's for that but it is highly addicting so I skip 1-2 days. I take it for my ringing in my ears. Did you look up restless legs on nih's website or webmd? Maybe you need to take some magnesium. I think too much calcium can excite the nerve where magnesium might calm it. I don't know. But it is annoying b/c it generally happens when you first drift off to sleep, right? Are you on any drugs that cause twitches? I used to take a drug that can cause permanent twitches :( You need to listen to some bva music too (I have found that "someone like you" and "front row junkies" are very relaxing songs besides about 20 others of his!)

I did not know that cold or allergy medicine can aggravate it

    one word-

    RUN

until I started running I would get one leg with RLS about every night. Now it only happens if I don't run. I suggest no less than 3 to four miles a day to kep those legs in check.

You know it's funny you suggest that. I took a couple Benadryl last night and the previous night to help me get rest. It actually made things worse.

I take a lot of medicines for my IBD...don't know if they actually aggravate the RLS more. It seems like my legs and feet have been worse since having my last surgery in February.

Going to the doctor today to find out more. Hopefully, some relief is in sight.

    Interesting.

When I am active, my legs are fine.

However, I sit at a desk for 8 hours a day. Plus, my commute keeps me in the car 2 hours a day.

Thanks for the suggestion though. I've read that regular exercise can help.

I've been sleeping in the spare bedroom because I can't seem to get my legs to calm down at night.

    It's quite bothersome.
