I would love to see The Raconteurs - but they are the only band that I REALLY want to see in that line-up. The good news is that since they are playing a FL festival, I will be willing to bet that Jacksonville gets a show and possibly something down south. If I did go, I wouldn't mind seeing Drive-By Truckers (saw that at Roo in 08 and they were a fun band), Kid Rock, Warren Haynes, and Blues Traveler.

Yea, I agree, the line up is not outstanding but exciting nonetheless seeing that this may become an annual event close to home. The Racentours would be my #1 too. I'd also love to see the Avett Bros as I've never seen them before. Others that interest me are the Roots, Dr. Dog, Buddy Guy, Warren Haynes. I've never liked the Killers and have no interest in Kid Rock either. Indifferent about Seger too.

i haven't done much looking... but has it been stated anywhere that additional acts might possibly be added?

i did read that the radiohead rumor has been officially squashed by festival republic.

  • So I've decided that I'm going to check out Saturday of this festy. The Felice Brothers, Dr. Dog, Iron & Wine, The Roots, The Avett Brothers, & The Raconteours...sounds pretty good to me! And I despise the Killers so I'll hopefully be able to get out early and beat the traffic. Anybody else plan to attend?

There are A LOT of bands there I'd love to see, some I've already seen... but I was sold the minute I saw Bob Seger.
    7/2/06 - Denver, CO
    6/12/08 - Tampa, FL
    8/23/09 - Chicago, IL
9/28/09 - Salt Lake City, UT (11 years too long!!!)
    9/03/11 - East Troy, WI - PJ20 - Night 1
    9/04/11 - East Troy, WI - PJ20 - Night 2
  • If they make this like Electric Picnic, you guys will love it. They won't though. It'll be more like Reading and Leeds. Have fun those who are going.

My friend loved Orlando. She was just there in January for the 70,000 Tonnes of Metal Festival (it's on a fucking cruise liner to Mexico!). She loved your town while she was there.

Also, I thought this thread was gonna be a Death Metal thread. When I was growing up and used to listen to metal Florida music=Death Metal!
    My Pearl Jam shows: 1 in 1995, 2 in 1998, 20 in 2003, 13 in 2006, 3 in 2007, 8 in 2008, 5 in 2009, 4 in 2010, 5 in 2012. EV: 8 in 2011, 1 in 2012. Brad: 1 in 1998, 1 in 2002.

We'll see. The number 5 ranking is making me really nervous. Not sure if they deserve it without playing a single game yet. But as you said, it's a big one - UM
