I regret not being man enough to tell my Father enough is enough...he passed away suddenly last november and I was unable to make my point stick...I tried hard but could never find a way through his defense. That is regrettable, because after he passed I finally realized what I could/should have done, and if I had he would probably still be here...life is funny, but I guess the take away is not allowing the opportunity to pass me by again if I see the same things happening and to always act decisively because tomorrow isn't a guarantee
that’s right! Can’t we all just get together and focus on our real enemies: monogamous gays and stem cells… - Ned Flanders
It is terrifying when you are too stupid to know who is dumb

I think as time goes be and we become the father's to our children as they grow we will be reminded of things our fathers said and did to teach us to deal with life the best they knew how, maybe not the Bradys or the clevers but they do their best with what they know and that's hard to understand till our time comes and we can adjust or change the lessons they gave us but either way we will think back and smile and hopefully understand a little more.

Maybe realizing at an earlier age that it doesn't matter what other people think. Just some choices over the years that I made worrying more about what other people would think, then for what was best for me.

But besides, that, at this point in my life, I really don't regret anything. I am blessed with the life and family that I have now, and I think all of my choices (good & bad) over the years have put me in the position that I am now. I try not to live in the past and focus only on the present and future.

If any thread begged for a Pearl Jam lyric, it's this one....

You can spend your time alone re-digesting past regrets, oh
Or you can come to terms and realize
You're the only one who cannot forgive yourself, oh
Makes much more sense, to live in the present tense
    My whole life
    was like a picture
    of a sunny day
