FROM A POCKET

Ending towards beginning
Ultimately, embraced
like cupped
In us
116 littered steps to go

Dodging a blue boxed cloud
Jumped over a green can looking cotton ball
Then tippy-toed steps 18 to 90
26 less littered steps-ahead

Arms now, out stretched
Looking
wanting
the reach of that step

Abdomen aching
Pushing through towards you
One last lit cigarette
With my head thrown out towards & away from my chest
With one dropped arm for balance
Step one sixteen my love, is next

With these half dropped flowers
Depleted body, my one man army
Emm-braace, me-pleease
