    i would love bootlegs. i only went to two shows, but they were so fantastic that it would be a shame never to hear them again. i would settle for any format, but please, release them.

    Don't you realize that Ed has already chosen if he's going to release boots or not?
    If he is, they will probably be available short after the August tour.
    If he's not planing to do it, don't ask for them! he is not recording them!

    I was just gonna say.... I don't believe that any of the shows he has done were even recorded. So there isn't anything to release. I think this whole tour is an experiment for him and maybe next time around he will entertain the thought of recording his shows.

    first of all, they usually announce bootlegs shortly before the tour. second of all, I'd be willing to bet that all shows get recorded whether they plan to release them or not. (ie: nyc 1992)

    There's really no harm in putting in a request. if there is enough interest, you never know...

    There were a lot of charitable causes listed in the little booklet that we got (most prominently WM3 and Tomas Young). I wonder if there's any possibility that they will wait to see which show is the best, and release that for charity? (or a compilation of the best performances of each song?) It just seems like something they'd do.

    Love the idea of releasing the boots to the solo shows....esp. Milwaukee!!!

    Might as well release a dvd compilation, as well.

    It might not be possible because of the number of covers he sang during the shows and acquiring song rights, permission, etc.
