I notice a lot of people here now from the Chicago area. Where abouts? Are you in the suburbs or truly in the city?

I used to live in Bucktown! My all time favorite neighborhood. If I get the chance to move again, I will for sure push to move back to Bucktown.

I've lived all over the city and it's hands down my most-very-favorite neighborhood too :D

normally i can find this stuff....can't find anything in this case. might have rented which would have stopped a deed search, and nothing shows up from a telephone perspective. nothing for him or his wife or kids. or everything was under a business name.

i once dug up Ron Santo's address...he lived in Des Plaines.

I'm pretty sure Norm lived near the UC, but to the east of it -- I'm thinking Randolph & Halsted-ish.

How many of you are going to Alpine, and if so where are you staying or are you taking shuttle?

I'm either camping at Snug Harbor or Country View. I have a site reserved at Country View and a friend has one at Snug Harbor. Haven't figured out which one to go with yet. Both will have shuttles and are close to the venue. Rather be at a hotel in Lake Geneva, but don't like driving up there with the cops and drinking.

Sounds cool, if you're coming from the south (Lake Geneva), there is a road west of 120 called Bowers that will take you the back way into Alpine Valley and avoid all of the traffic. I take this way every time and it will save you hours of sitting in traffic.

Going; probably staying at home; driving up both days. (I'm not planning to drink more than three or four beers over the course of each long day so driving's not really an issue).

My aunt has a farm not far from Alpine. She normally has a huge family party on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend so there's a remote chance we'll just stay there on Saturday night. It also means I'll probably get to the show pretty late on Sunday.

I live in the city, in Avondale (most people have no idea where that is...just think Kuma's Corner and Hot Doug's.)
Going to Alpine, staying at a campsite not far from the venue with some buddies. Stop by for some Smores.

I'm ChicagoLAND also. I'm a little west and north of Woodfield. Closer to Wisconsin then the city. Gonna stay at home and drive up both days...

I used to work with a PJ fan (along with my brother in law...hint, hint)some years ago, he's the one that encouraged me to sign up for 10c. Maybe he'll read this and say hi...

living in the loop, been out here for about 7 months now. sold my car back in nyc, and wanted a place very close to my job as i wasn't familiar with the mass transit situation out here before i moved.

love living downtown (even though a couple streets can get a bit shady at night), but discovering more and more awesome neighborhoods north of me now that the weather is getting nice, so i might look for places around those parts when my lease is up next year.

i can see why people brag about chicago's summers. awesome city.

Yes indeed, Orbit Room is literally one block from where I live. Not a bad place. I'm also a fan of Dragonlady Lounge, just up the street on Elston/Belmont/California.
